too many nuts
I don’t know about you, but I must improve myself
living a life of languishing is not something I accept
on any given day, I'll be wrestling with some thoughts,
and I’ve been doing this for centuries- centuries!
now I'm eating nuts and listening to “sacred” music
I stay away from using such words
as if they carry grave importance
the sacred is only what you hold dear
what you defend most ferociously
what survives when all else is taken.
mystical moments can come without any warning,
but it's difficult to surrender to manufactured ones
“sit still and meditate now for this many minutes”
how do you know you’re supposed to be doing that?
the path of least resistance doesn’t mean you don’t fight
you'll fight either way, it's only a matter of when
to stand against your own doubts and win
is to see the path forward, and be embraced by it.
I have eaten too many nuts now,
so I will bow in every direction and hope for the best.
