I miss my childhood basement
we hung out there in the summer
it was always cooler
and smelled a bit damp
the walls were unfinished
furniture everywhere
we would make forts
dig out old toys
video games all day
the safest place to play
on second thought, maybe I just want
someone who makes me feel that way
