oink oink oink
I hunched over, calling to her
the way you would to a dog or cat.
"Oink oink oink!" she said,
as she got up and sprinted excitedly,
then barreled into me,
nearly knocking me over.
I sat down with her, and she nuzzled
frantically; I nuzzled back,
leaning on her like a pillow,
my new best friend.
Literally and figuratively,
what a dream!
for a city boy like me.
