it has to rain sometimes
I woke today to a storm outside my window
First thing anyone said to me was “What a terrible day”
But why?
It has to rain sometimes, and when it does,
it's the fault of no human
The skies are not in a bad mood
This is just how it works
I sat down to begin my viewing of this process
which still mesmerizes me to this day
I noticed that some of the leaves on a tree
were turned a little sideways, one way or the other
and I couldn't help but wonder what would happen
to a raindrop that fell and split itself on the edge of a leaf
