higher learning
in devotion's name I grab the chains
navigating on a higher plane
where transformation requires slow death
and though this wisdom is arcane
to ignore it is to abandon myself
and become that which I disdain
which inwardly is a torture
that I cannot sustain
the cycle of destruction and rebirth
is the very purpose of this plane
and until my lesson has been learned
I must willfully endure the pain
